We are a small team of storytellers, technologists, and dreamers reimagining what’s possible at the intersection of AI and narrative. We started Fermata to move beyond passive storytelling and create dynamic, living experiences where stories evolve with their audiences.
With backgrounds in immersive media, game design, and journalism, we are charting a new, more constructive path for AI and interactive storytelling, and we're doing it all on our own.

Cameron Kostopoulos, Founder & CEO, is an award-winning immersive creator, filmmaker, and creative technologist. Their debut XR experience "Body of Mine" (2023) was recognized with the prestigious Producers' Guild Innovation Award, SXSW XR Special Jury Award, a BAFTA Student Award and more. Their sophomore debut, "In the Current of Being" (2025), premiered at the esteemed Cannes and Tribeca Film Festivals, won the SXSW XR Immersive Impact Award. and more. They are also the Founder & CEO of Kost, leading a team of people harnessing the power of new technologies - including XR, AI, haptics and more - to transform the ways we view ourselves, the world around us, and our fellow human beings.
